How can we help with detox?

Firstly, address our diet is probably the biggest way to help your system. Try to take are many “toxins” of the diet in order to give the liver and other detox organs a rest.

We live in a world with so many choices, that healthy eating really comes down to basics. Try to focus on eating organic meats and eggs, leafy green vegetables, root vegetables, with some occasional nuts, fruits and berries.

Secondly, we need to look at herbs, supplements, and treatments that can help, assist, and support the liver and the team of organs that help detox.

  • The B group vitamins are the fuel of the liver. By supplementing with the B’s you can help boost and “supercharge” the liver’s function.
  • Miso - high in vitamin B’s, strengthens Immune System, antioxidant
  • Herbs such as:
    • Mu Dan Pi (Peony Root ) clears and soothes the liver
    • Zi Su Ye (Purple Perilla Leaf) helps with - nausea, vomiting and food poisoning

Thirdly, something to consider is our immune system. Many toxins reactions are known to suppress our immune and disease defense systems. By taking immune boosting herbs and tonics it may build and support a healthy system.
