When we talk about gut health we are talking about the health of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). Everything we consume passes through this series of organs extending approximately 9m in length which runs from mouth to anus. The GIT is covered in millions of bacteria, both good and bad that grow and play a significant role in the metabolism of our food through processes of absorbing and digesting.

Unsurprisingly, the increased research into this area have demonstrated the significant interactions between the foods we eat and the gut, highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy gut to ensure:
